We spent the same amount that we spend every year but we weren’t able to get as many items since most of the requests were electronic and the prices of those items have really gone up.

We definitely cut way back. My fiance and I moved from NYC where we both made really good money. He’s going to grad school and I’m still looking for a job in a down market, so we scaled way back this year in case the nest egg we have has to hold us over for a while. The whole family set a $25 cap on gifts per person. My fiance and I of course splurged on each other like we always do, but otherwise we stayed under budget and we still got things we’re sure people will really like.

yes i did, even though i spent over 200$ on my girlfriend, I hardly spent much on my family
